In 2012 DCASE developed a public/private partnership special education service delivery model in collaboration with the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) Special Education Division. While the funding from OSSE for these trainings has run through (in 2016), the trainings and resources are available individually on a fee-based arrangement with our consortium members..
The DCASE Special Ed Consortium organizes DCASE members into a network of qualified licensed providers to help public schools and public charter schools enhance their delivery of quality special education services by offering:
- Planning and Organizational Development to build capacity for provision of quality special education services
- Professional Development and Training on topics relevant to the needs of your staff and students, incorporating best practices in special education
- Direct Service Support for students, provided by licensed professionals currently working for DCASE Consortium member programs
The Consortium has provided services to hundreds of staff and students at DCPS and DC Public Charter Schools. Follow these links to learn how it can help you!
